Chennai Dr. Ambedkar Government Law College, Pattarai Perambudur is a Government law college affiliated to The Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University. The historic Chennai Dr. Ambedkar Government Law College was shifted from its former location near the Madras High Court to newly constructed campuses at Pattarai Perambudur in Thiruvallur district and Pudupakkam in Chengalpattu district from the academic year 2018-2019. The Pattarai Perambudur campus provides undergraduate and postgraduate legal education with a strong focus on constitutional law, legal theory, procedural law, criminal law, civil law, commercial law, human rights and practical advocacy skills. The college provides facilities including a large law library, e-zone and computer facilities, auditorium, hostels and student-oriented academic infrastructure. The institution supports practical legal training through moot court activities, seminars, legal aid programmes, internships, research activities, debates, client counselling and other co-curricular activities. The college serves students from across Tamil Nadu through the State Government's law admission and reservation framework.
